Italian Meatballs Recipe

This dish is one of the basics in the kitchen, maybe for some people they are just meat balls, but we can make great games with them in the kitchen and turn ordinary presentations into unforgettable ones.

One of them is Chef Vinny’s winning Rigatoni Pasta with raisin and mushroom meatballs. Sounds delicious? Then write down all the ingredients we need and let’s prepare!

  • 2 lb. ground beef (chuck or regular) not lean
  • 2 tsp. Salt or more if desired
  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. Chopped dried basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ½ cup plain bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan.
  • (Optional) ¼ cup raisins to make great tasting Italian meatballs.

We start mixing everything in a large bowl until we can form the meatballs with our hands.

Add the sautéed seasonings that will give the unique flavor to our dish, cheese, raisins and mushrooms.

We apply the bread crumbs.

Place a tray in the oven with our meat balls and cook for 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.

We wait until our figures begin to brown or are already firm but not fully cooked.

Remove and place them in the pasta sauce of your choice or if prepared and start cooking over medium heat to finish cooking.

Serve to accompany a good pasta dish and divide the portions you want.
